A process for pressing and completely curing mouldings, such as are used, for example, as the interior lining of motor cars, is described. In this process, the starting materials are preferably cellulose and/or lignocellulose fibre materials which - provided with binders - are pressed to form the desired mouldings. The pressing of the flat fleece-like raw materials is carried out according to the present process in such a manner that mouldings are produced whose density is less than 0.9 and is preferably in a range from 0.5 to 0.8 g/cm<3>, whereupon the mouldings are then subjected to post-treatment providing their final characteristics such as flexural strength, fracture strength, water absorption and the like, by supplying additional binder components externally to the pressed mouldings. The supplying of additional binder components is not carried out by a coating process to form a surface coating, but rather in the present process uses diffusion processes in which additional binders penetrate deeply into the pressed mouldings.
