<p>The steering column houses a mass of foam material inside a covering of an exterior sheath. This has a central hexagonal core (3) to which is welded a complementary obliquely rising stirrup (4). The bottom ends of two symmetrical radii or spokes (2) are welded to the stirrup, the top ends are fixed to the external wheel (1), and the angle between the spokes is 105 degrees. The wheel is made of aluminium tube rolled and welded with two flat zones (1a) with concave bases to form housings for the radii without modifying the external diameter of the steering wheel.</p> |
