The intercom system uses a pair of headphones embedded in the lining of each crash helmet and a microphone associated with a sound collector at the front of each crash helmet. A network of hollow tubes is used to coupled the headphones and microphones associated with the two helmets. A further line leads to an external sound collector facing a loudspeaker for a radio or cassette player. The system allows the driver and passenger to talk to one another while wearing their helmets or to listen to the radio or cassette player.
