<p>The holder clamps round section metal bars (1) on a sawing machine, using a trough (3) on a sub-frame (2) to locate a bar cluster, and with a closed binder (6) which passes round the cluster. The ends of the binder are secured and the binder then tensioned to provide the clamping effect. The fixed end (64) of the binder may be secured by a transverse pin (92) spanning the edge of two parallel plates, slack being taken up by locating the pin in alternative edge notches (911), or by passing the binder around fixed pins (81). The other end of the binder may be pinned (72) to a cranked rocking lever (71) driven by a screw (74), the trough being in two pieces (2,4) with adjustable width.</p> |
