PURPOSE:To provide a heat-sensitive recording medium with less fading of developed color images in the state in contact with a synthetic resin film by a constitution wherein fatty metal salts and a water insoluble gallic acid are added into a color forming layer which contains basic colorless dyes and developers. CONSTITUTION:In a heat-sensitive recording medium including a color forming layer which contains basic colorless dyes and developers for developing colors when brought into contact with the colorless dyes, fatty metal salts and a water insoluble gallic acid derivatives are added into the color forming layer. As the water insoluble gallic acid derivatives to be used, gallic alkyl is most preferable from the standpoint of industrial utilization value. As alcohols to form ester with the gallic acid in such gallic alkyl, linearly chained or branched aliphatic saturated alcohols with C12-24 such as lauric alcohol and stearyl alcohol are preferable. |
