The invention relates to a casing, in particular for deodorant sticks, in which the stick can be moved out by screwing via a spindle drive and can be closed by a covering cap (7) which has a free space for the stick moved out by screwing. In order to find the stick always in the correct position of use, the invention proposes that the threaded spindle drive has an overload sliding clutch (R) and the housing tube (2) is mounted rotatably in the outer housing (4) of the casing with interposition of a return barrier (S), projects beyond the upper end face (4') of the outer housing (4) of the casing, and forms a thread (5) on said projecting portion (2') for screwing on a counter-thread (6) of the covering cap (7), whose thread direction is in the same direction as the free direction of rotation of the return barrier (S). <IMAGE>
