Process and tube for introducing a filling gas into an insulating-glass unit comprising at least two parallel, rectangular glass panes which are fastened on spacers running around their border, it being possible for the filling gas to be introduced into the insulating-glass unit near a corner and for air or an air/gas mixture to flow out of said unit near an opposite border. Starting from departure points located one beside the other in one or more rows, the filling gas is introduced exclusively in outflow directions approximately parallel to the panes in an angle range of approximately 90 DEG between a direction running perpendicularly towards an adjoining spacer and a direction, parallel to said spacer, running away from the nearby corner.
