SILVER ELECTRODE FOR ENZYME ELECTRODE

PURPOSE:To decrease the deterioration of a degree of activity of a hydrogen peroxide electrode, by incorporating about 0.5-5wt% expoxy resin in silver powder and press-forming with a silver lead wire. CONSTITUTION:A well kneaded mixture of silver powder and 0.5-5wt% epoxy resin is packed in a metallic mold after a silver lead wire is put in the metallic mold. A silver electrode 10 is obtained by press-forming packed material in this mold. A through hole 16 is pierced at a central part and a platinum electrode 18 made of a platinum rod as an anode is arranged inserting into the hole 16. An expoxy resin 20 as an insulating material is charged around the electrode 18 and is solidified. A lead wire 22 is connected with the electrode 18. In this manner, a hydrogen peroxide electrode is constructed.
