PURPOSE:To carry out a comparison of an air fuel ratio with a logical air fuel ratio accurately, by connecting a resistor in parallel with a sensor element expressed as an equivalent circuit which is connected a direct current power source to the inner resistance in series. CONSTITUTION:An electrically conductive rubber body 16 is tightly inserted between an extended part 10 of a housing 5 and a metallic circular tube 15 and the tube 15 is connected with the part 10 electrically through the body 16. When the resistance value of the inner resistance of a sensor element becomes lower than that of the body 16, a minute electric current flowing from a comparator toward an oxygen sensor is mainly passed through the body 16. That is, when the temperature of an engine is low, the minute current is led to a ground through the body 16 and voltage generated by flowing a minute current to the sensor element is not increased moreover. |
