PURPOSE:To improve the sharpness by suppressing the effect of noise included in matching due to the center of gravity of intensity, through the use of a plurality of original picture including the same objective and the alignment at a position having the highest similarity between original pictures. CONSTITUTION:In inputting a plurality of original pictures P0-PN and outputting one picture through sharpening, the original pictures P0 and P1 are inputted to a correlation section B to obtain the correlation, a maximum correlation position C of the original picture P1 having the maximum correlation is outputted, the original picture P1 is shifted by the position C and superimposed on the original picture P0 at an adder section A to output an output picture P. Next, similarly the superimposing among the output picture P and the original pictures P1-PN is made to obtain a sharp picture. The correlation device B is provided with a two-dimensional Fourier conversion processing section, a convolution operation section, a two-dimesional inverse Fourier conversion processing section, a correlation picture generating section and a maximum position detection section, and the similarity of the objective is made for matching as the criteria. The effect of noise included in matching due to the center of gravity of intensity can be suppressed, allowing to improve the sharpness. |
