A corner deflection (1) for espagnolette fittings on windows, doors or the like has such a design that, on the one hand, it corresponds to the conditions of installation on windows, doors or the like, the wings and frames of which consist of spars extending at right angles to one another. On the other hand, however, it is also to be installed easily on those windows, doors or the like, the wings and frames of which have at least one spar which adjoins at least one adjacent spar at an angle differing from a right angle, for example an obtuse angle. For this purpose, the cover angle (1) has an interruption (9) in its corner region and the mutually confronting ends of its legs (3 and 4) are connected or connectable so as to be longitudinally displaceable to a bendable angle plate (10) engaging round the corner region. For this purpose, the angle plate (10) is coupled to each of the two legs (3 and 4) of the cover angle (2) via at least one respective stud-and-slot connection (14). The stud-and-slot connections (14) can be locked non-positively in every possible displacement position by means of clamping screws (16). <IMAGE>
