The turning axle (1) of the spring-assisted lever switch is linked, by a series of pivoting arms, to an electromagnet (14) whose moving armature can be used to block or free the switch. The axle turns a fraction of a circle in opening or closing the switch and the turning movement brings about the switch contact movement. A main pivoting arm (2) turns a crank (4) about an axle (5) running through the lower end of a balance arm (6) which pivots about an upper axis and moves against the action of a spring (16). A second set of crank arms (17,8) can also communicate during movement to the balance arm. One of the latter arms (10) has an inertia weight (12) at its end and moves against the force of a spring (11). A knee-joint pivot (9) has its freedom of movement determined by the electro-magnet armature when this is retracted, rotary movement of the whole assembly allows the balance arm to turn and likewise the main axle (1). The switch contacts are then opened.
|
