A warhead having an explosive charge and a casing surrounding said explosive charge for penetrating through walls and protective revetments (rideaus) before detonation of the explosive charge is triggered. The casing in this case has a two-layer or multilayer structure whose outer layer or outer layers are prestressed to counteract the external stresses and whose inner layer or inner layers are prestressed in the same direction as the external stresses.
