<p>60 MP 1030 An anchor bolting assembly for mounting into a borehole of a rock structure, the rock structure having an outer face exposed around the borehole, includes a frangible capsule for insertion into the borehole. The capsule contains a flowable anchoring resin and a segregated catalyst for solidifying the resin when the capsule is ruptured and the resin and catalyst mixed. The assembly also includes a threaded bolt member for insertion into the borehole, the bolt member having an inner end for rupturing the frangible capsule and mixing the resin and catalyst contained therein, and a free end. The assembly further includes a bearing plate member for mounting on the free end of the bolt member and for engaging the outer face of the rock structure. The assembly also includes a nut member having an inner end portion for abutting against the bearing plate member, an opposed outer end portion, and an interiorly threaded through aperture for receiving the free end of the bolt member. The nut member further includes temporary stop means for engaging the bolt member so as to resist the complete threading of the nut member onto the free end of the bolt. Thus, while the anchoring resin is flowable, rotation of the nut member against the temporary stop means effects the simultaneous rotation of the bolt member and the mixing of the resin and catalyst within the borehole. The temporary stop means is deformable such that when the anchoring resin has solidified around the inner end of the bolt member, thus non-rotatably fixing it within the borehole, continued rotation of the nut member provides sufficient torque to overcome the temporary stop means and permit the nut member to be completely threaded onto the 60 MP 1030 free end of the bolt member, thus tightening the bearing plate member against the outer face of the rock structure and tensioning the bolt member within the borehole.</p> |
