MEASUREMENT OF SURFACE RESISTANCE

PURPOSE:To enable easy and accurate measurement of the surface resistance with respect to the surface distortion by bringing two pairs of surface resistance measuring probes with work following the bending deformation thereof under a roughly constant contact pressure with a weight balance. CONSTITUTION:After an anchor screw 15 is loosened, a balance weight 14 is moved properly and fixed at such a position as to minimize the contact pressure given on the surface of an object 26 to be measured by the tip of probes 18-21. Ab arm 12 is so arranged to tilt slightly following any bending deformation of the band-shaped object 26 being measured that the tips of the probes 18-21 can contact the surface of the band-shaped object 26 with a roughly constant small force. A constant current is between a pair of probes 18 and 19 outside to measure voltage between a pair of probes 20 and 21. This enables easy and accurate measurement of true changes in the surface resistance corresponding to variations in the bending stress.
