PURPOSE:To sufficiently suck up fuel and to improve the combustion characteristic of a wick, by longitudinally and dispersedly arranging heat-resistant fibers to form the edge of a heat-resistant combustion part which is a burner part, in the wick of a kerosene stove. CONSTITUTION:Fluffy parts 2d, 2d', made by longitudinally and dispersedly arranging heat-resistant fibers, form the edge of a heat-resistant combustion part 2 which is a burner part, without reinforcing intermediate wicks 2a, 2a' being interposed between the parts 2d, 2d'. Besides, a group of streak lines of warps 2b, 2b' is arranged in a row in the longitudinal direction. With such an arrangement, the combustion characteristic of the combustion part 2 can be improved, as fuel can sufficiently be sucked up by the part 2 by capillary action. Further, an ignitability and a flame spreading ability can also be improved, so that an offensive smell, a stimulation to the eyes, and the like, can remarkably be decreased in a kerosene stove, in an initial time of combustion. |
