Systems and methods of encoding a binary file corresponding to 3 Dimensional (3D) model of an object suitable for 3D printing are described. The encoding process includes traversing a compressed octree depth wise from the root node to the child nodes and leaves of each subsequent depth till the depth N. For each node of the compressed octree, it is determined whether the node is a first down node. The determination is done for nodes not being an empty leaf. Further, on determining that the node is not the first down node, a further first down leaf corresponding to the first down node may be determined, where the first down leaf is a sub-node being a full leaf. Furthermore, the color information of the first down leaf is encoded into the corresponding node to generate the binary file representing the compressed octree. |
