<p>A cassette for providing dispensable banknotes (12) in an autoteller is characterised by its door (16) being able to be slid open on only one occasion after a lock (22) has been primed, the act of opening being achieved only inside the autoteller upon seating the cassette on the correct key (46). The mechanism of the lock (22) is characterised by comprising a rotating plate (106) which can be moved from a locked to an open position when the key (46) aligns rotation-opposing pins (90, 92, 94) with rotation-permitting channels (132, 134, 136) the rotating plate (106) being controlled to open only once by a primed rotating catch (114) falling into a position to prevent further opening of the lock (22) and door (16) whenever the door (16) is next closed.</p> |
