PURPOSE:To prevent excessive enriching of mixture when operation of a carburetor is switched from the primary side to the secondary side, by making an acceleration pump operate with high sensitivity to a throttle valve on the secondary side and eject acceleration fuel only when the primary and the secondary throttle valves are both opened. CONSTITUTION:A secondary control lever 72 is extended loosely through a rib 62 of an acceleration pump lever 60 in parallel with a primary control lever 64. A secondary stopper 74 for restricting the range of pivotal movement of the lever 60 caused by the primay control lever 64 is threaded on the secondary control lever 72 at a position located upwardly of the rib 62 on the left side thereof. When operation of a carburetor is switched from the primary side to the secondary side, the lever 60 of an acceleration pump 42 is turned clockwise by the force of a primary spring 70 as shown by an arrow 61 in the drawing, and the rib 62 comes into abutment with the secondary stopper 74. Thus, a plunger 44 of the acceleration pump 42 is moved forward to a limit position, so that supply of excessive fuel can be prevented. |
