PURPOSE:To enable to draw fuel more positively from a main nozzle, by projecting the main nozzle from a barrel in the manner that the top of the main nozzle is located nearer to the wall surface of the barrel than the top of a bridge. CONSTITUTION:A main nozzle 11 is projected from a barrel 14 such that the top of the main nozzle 11 is located a predetermined distance DELTAx inwards of the top of a bridge 3 toward a main jet 10, and it is formed with a stepwise notch 30 extending toward the downstream side from the position located slightly above the center of the nozzle 11. A disk-shaped fuel guide 31 is pre-fitted around the main nozzle 11 in a unitary manner. In idling operation, air drawn from an air horn 15 is contracted at the bridge 3 and expanded at a venturi 4. Here, since fuel 34 carried along a metering needle 6 is removed by the function of the notch 30, enriching of the air-fuel mixture due to fuel drips is not caused.
