PURPOSE:To obtain the titled transfer foil which is excellent in heat resistance, light-proof and weather-proof properties and which is capable of retaining the luster and the tone of its colored layer by a method wherein a protective layer consisting of a transparent inorganic metallic compound deposited layer and the colored layer are formed on one side surface of a releasable base film so as to produce a transfer layer. CONSTITUTION:The transparent inorganic metallic compound layer (the protective layer) obtained by depositing Al2O3 and a metal deposited layer (the colored layer) obtained by depositing Ag are formed in that order on one side surface of the releasable base film (e.g., polyethylene terephthalate) as the transfer layer to thereby obtain the transfer foil. |
