PURPOSE:To easily obtain a printed matter of constant and high quality by such as arrangement wherein an offset printing plate is vertically divided into multiple sections, and the ratio of area of picture pattern of each section and that of the overall plate are obtained, and the amount of ink and that of dampening water to be supplied to each section are controlled. CONSTITUTION:A plate 20 is vertically divided into many sections and the ratio of area of picture pattern of each of these sections is measured by a device 1 for measuring the ratio of area of picture pattern and measured data are given to a magnetic card. The data of this card are inputted into an ink and dampening wter supply controller 2 and an eccentric bearer ring 13 is caused to rotate, and a gap between an ink fountain roller 14 and the bearer ring 13 is adjusted by section and a properly adjusted ink 27 proportional to the ratio of area of picture pattern of each section of the plate 20 is supplied. The ink 27 is transferred to the plate 20 by section through rollers 16-19. On the one hand, dampening water 26 is distributed and supplied from a water fountain roller 21 through a water transfer roller 22 and a ductor roller 24 in proportion to the ratio of area of picture pattern. |
