PURPOSE:To provide a dot printer capable of printing characters and ruled lines at a higher speed at the time of tabulation by such an arrangement wherein (m+2alpha)X(n+2beta) pieces of dot matrix are formed by arranging rule dot matrices around mXn pieces of print dot matrix. CONSTITUTION:A print head 18 composed of rule pins 17, print pins 6 and rule pins arranged vertically in order in one vertical line is moved horizontally line by equal interval, and it prints a character, etc. and at the same time a ruled line by driving necessary print pins 6 and rule pins 17 at a specified position in accordance with a character pattern and a rule to be printed. For example, one character is printed at print position 8 of a dot matrix of 7X5 pieces and a rule is printed at the 2nd dot position of a character space 9 having an interval of 3 dots and a line space 10. |
