PURPOSE:To provide a recorder which is capable of producing a better image without noise with a high recording concentration by controlling the quantity of ink attached to the tip of a needle electrode so as to be less before the flying of a magnetic ink and more during the flying thereof. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic ink 20 is fed to the tip of a needle electrode 1 through the supply path 3 of the needle face section of a raising magnet 5 provided with an auxiliary electrode 15 and retained by a magnetic force at the tip of the needle electrode 1. As no voltage is applied to the auxiliary electrode 15 before the flying of the magnetic ink, the meniscus radius is small. During the flying of the magnetic ink, the voltage is applied to the auxiliary electrode 15 to increase the quantity of the ink 20 attached to the tip of the needle electrode 1 by charging the magnetic ink in the supply path 3. |
