PURPOSE:To realize certain automatic penetration of a wire electrode of fine diameter through a work starting hole of an automatic connection device by pouring oil of comparatively high viscosity on the tip of the wire electrode. CONSTITUTION:A wire electrode 3 supplied from a bobbin 2 via rollers 5, 6 and added with tensile force by means of a heavy weight 28 is interposed between two pairs of rollers 17 and 19, and further heated by means of a heating circuit 30 to be straightened. Then, while an electric current is being sent 37 to between two pairs of rollers 18 and 19, a roller 19a is rotated in B direction and the wire electrode 3 is elongated to make a constructed part, which is cut through melting by heat. Subsequently, the wire electrode 3 is supported by means of a pair of rollers 18 only, and a roller 18a is rotated in A direction to send out said electrode 3 downward. At the same time, oil of high viscosity is poured from an oiling device 40 onto the wire electrode 3, which is drawn downward with said oil serving as a weight and inserted through wire guides 9, 10. |
