PURPOSE:To make continuous production possible and to stabilize quality by injecting molten metal to a rotary roll which is held at a low temp. by means of fans provided in the recesses on the side surfaces of said roll. CONSTITUTION:A roll 4 which is provided with recesses 6 on side surfaces 5 and is provided with fans 7 in the recesses 6 is installed right under a slit 2. The roll 4 is rotated at a high speed and molten metal 3 is injected from the slit 2 onto said roll, whereby the metal 3 is cooled quickly. The amorphous metal having smooth surface characteristics is obtained continuously. |
