PURPOSE:To cut a metallic pipe, the section of which is shaped like an ellipse, oval or the like other than a circle (tentatively called a pipe of special shape), almost without producing powdered metal by utilizing a revolving rotary cutter. CONSTITUTION:A cutting machine A for a pipe of special shape is composed of parallel outside boards 1, 1, rotary side boards 2, 2 arranged between the above outside boards, and a cutting mechanism 3 installed on the above side boards. The cutting mechanism 3 is driven in a rotary motion through driving of a motor 27. The cutting machine A is fitted on a pipe P of special shape by loosening a bolt 9, while the outside boards 1, 1 are fixed so as to conform to a cutting line of the pipe P by clamping the bolt 9b, and the pipe P is cut by means of the rotary cutter 22. |
