PURPOSE:To suppress an impact during transferring a material to the minimum value for contemplating to inhibit the formation of scratches and to reduce noise, by providing a means for shifting the material between a rotary body having a part for accepting the material and a means for carrying the material through a furnace. CONSTITUTION:Long materials m are transported onto a vertically movable stopper 4 by the first inclined skid 2 and fed one by one onto the second inclined skid 3 every up and down motion of the stopper 4. The long material m1 is rotated along an inclined surface on the skid 3, stopped at the back surfce of a rotary body 7 for waiting until another long material m0 located in the material- accepting part 6 of the rotary body 7 is transferred onto the material-accepting part 12a of a material-shifting means 15, and then let rolling into the accepting part 6 under the condition that the rotary body 7 rotates anticlockwise. During this movement, the long material m0 in the accepting part 12a is mounted on a stationary beam with the circular motion of a shifting member 12 by the operation of a shifting hydraulic cylinder 13 and successively carried by a walking beam 17. |
