PURPOSE:To make it possible to supply hot or cold water at a prescribed temperature as well as freely incorporate the whole valve into the plug housing of a hot and cold water mixing plug by automatically adjusting the mixing ratio of hot water to cold water by utilizing a shape storing alloy. CONSTITUTION:When a valve body 4 is located on a position where the hot water inlet (a) of a housing 2 is opened, and the cold water inlet (b) closed, hot water firstly flows from the hot water inlet (a) into a mixing chamber (r) to permit the temperature of the water to rise from the prescribed temperature, so that shape restoring force is apllied besides the inherent expansion force to the coil 7 of a shape storing alloy which stretches against the spring force of a bias spring 5. And, as soon as the opening of the hot water inlet (a) is reduced, the valve of the cold water inlet (b) is opened, allowing the water temperature within the chamber to be reduced. As the water temperarure reduced, a cork 7 shrinks in the reverse way and the valve body 4 is pushed back in the opposite direction with the spring force of a return spring 8, allowing the opening of the cold water inlet (b) to be reduced. Thus, it is possible to always obtain hot or cold water, at a prescribed temperature with the repetition of these series of right and left movement of the valve body 4. |
