ANTILOCK BRAKE WITH SAFETY DEVICE SEPARATELY INSTALLED ON FRONT AND REAR WHEELS

PURPOSE:To secure the steering stability by providing a safety device adapted to control the braking force each time an excessive braking force is applied on rear wheels in case a rear wheel antilock controller fails with the braking force controlling function lost. CONSTITUTION:Antilock controllers 105 and 205 for front and rear wheels are operated independently of each other. When the front wheel antilock controller fails controlling the braking force, it is detected with trouble detectors 108 and 109 on the lead valve side and the discharge valve side composing a front wheel safety device to cut off an operation source 132 immediately thereby always securing the braking force required for the braking performance. When the rear wheel antilock controller 205 fails with the braking force controlling function lost, the rear wheel safety device 250 functions in place of the controller 205 to control the braking force on the rear wheels each time an excessive braking force is applied on the rear wheels thereby always maintaining the steering stability of the vehicle.
