PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device that can generate a still image which is picked up without missing an unexpected shutter chance.SOLUTION: An imaging device comprises an imaging unit that generates image data from optical information input via an optical system unit, an image processor for performing predetermined processing on the image data generated by the imaging unit, and a controller for controlling an optical system unit, the imaging unit and/or the image processor based on the setting related to imaging of moving pictures. The controller has a first moving picture mode and a second moving picture mode as a moving picture recording mode. In the second moving picture mode, the controller automatically sets the setting related to moving picture imaging to a predetermined setting suitable for still image recording. When the second moving picture mode is set, the controller displays, on a display unit, an indication representing that the second moving picture mode is set, at at least one of a recording time in the second moving picture mode and a display time of moving pictures recorded in the second moving picture mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7(a) |
