PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide simple and safe hydrogen supply for an aircraft.SOLUTION: Hydrogen is produced by reacting hydrogenation polysilane (HPS) with water in a reaction chamber 120. The reaction chamber comprises a feeding device 112 and a discharge device 122. Hydrogenation polysilane is high purity silane which can be safely handled. In addition, HPS can be used to produce extremely pure hydrogen, and the produced hydrogen can be directed directly to a fuel battery 150 via the discharge device without requiring an intermediate step. In order to promote hydrolysis in the reaction chamber, the reaction is performed in an alkaline medium and/or in the presence of catalyst.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
