PURPOSE:To eliminate the deterioration of the properties of a battery during its disuse, by filling a catalyst into a metal core made of stainless steel and plated with a metal of good electric conductivity and high alkali-proof property in the state of wire or net of the stainless steel. CONSTITUTION:Stainless steel such as the SUS304 and th SUS430 (JIS) is prepared as a basic material. The stainless steel is plated with nickel, silver, platinum, palladium or the like. A net made by weaving the stainless steel SUS304 plated with said metal or a net made of the stainless steel and then plated with the metal is provided as a core 5' and then filled with a catalyst so that a sheet is made. The sheet is punched. The piece punched out of the sheet is bonded with a porous film 6 of fluorine resin, thereby providing an air electrode 5 for an air battery shaped as a button. |
