PURPOSE:To thin an electrochromic (EC) display, by laminating a background plate and a counter electrode into one body. CONSTITUTION:Aluminum powder, e.g. 10g, PTFE dispersion liquid (60% solid), e.g. 5g, and ethanol, e.g. 10g, are mixed and stirred, and a part of it is formed into a white film, e.g. 150mum thick, with a rolling mill. On the other hand, likewise for example, 5g acetylene black, 5g W18O49, 2g PTFE, and 100g ethanol are mixed, and stirred, and formed into a 150mum thick black film using the rolling mill. They are laid one upon the other and formed into a 200mum thick film using the rolling mill. This laminated film is dried at 150 deg.C and cut to obtain a background plate/counter electrode 8, 9, thus thinning thickness of the EC display device consisting of a transparent base 1, a transparent conductive film 3, an insulating layer 4, the background plate/counter electrode 8, 9, a shielding material 10, and a conductive base. |
