CALCINING METHOD UNDER ENRICHED OXYGEN

PURPOSE:To improve the enriching efficiency of oxygen by subjecting a calcined material to heat exchange with air having an increase oxygen concn. then using nearly the entire quantity of said air as secondary air for combustion. CONSTITUTION:The calcined material from a rotary kiln 1 is cooled on the grate 71 on the high temp. side of a cooler 3 by the air 61 entering from an air chamber 81 on a high temp. side. The air is utilized as secondary air for kiln combustion or secondary air for combustion in a calcination furnace. The air having an increased oxygen concn. is used for the air 61. The concn. of oxygen in said air is 23-30vol%, more preferably 23-26vol%. The air which is increased in the concn. of oxygen by the heat exchange with a calcined material 10 is fed to the kiln 1 and is utilized for combustion with a burner 2.
