PURPOSE:To elevate the accuracy of setting position with a greater convenience by having a continuous paper running at the position separated from the position of detecting the initial end of a paper corresponding to the computation output value based on the detection output of a means of detecting the initial end of the paper and the computation output of an arithmetic circuit. CONSTITUTION:The position A at which a paper 4 comes in contact with an electrostatic printing drum 5 is where printing starts and the perforation of the paper is set at the position A. An initial end detector 1 is first put at the position separated from the point A integral times as large as the minimum perforation interval of the paper used and then, set to the perforation interval of the paper by operating a perforation interval setting switch 6-1 on a perforation interval setting switch panel 6. When the switch 6-1 is depressed, a signal is inputted into an arithmetic circuit 7. When a switch 6-2 is depressed, a control section 8 drives feeding tractors 2 and 3 to run the initial end of the paper 4 to the initial end detector 1. Based on the output variation signal of a photoelectric conversion element 1-2 and the results of the computation, the paper is halted and set with the control section 8. |
