The invention concerns checking and measuring arrangements, especially an arrangement for determination and registration of the dewatering resistance of fibre pulp. The arrangement contains a through-flow tank 1 with constant level and a meter 5 for determining the dewatering resistance, which meter contains two chambers, namely, a filter chamber 13 and a measuring chamber 15. There is introduced in the measuring chamber 15 an element sensitive to a change in the filtrate level, which is connected to elements for measuring and registering the dewatering resistance as a function of the filtrate level. The measuring element contains a secondary meter 24, a switching arrangement 32, so-called function converters 33, 34, and a unit 35 for calculating the dewatering resistance of the fibre pulp, wherein the output signal from the calculating unit 35 carries information regarding the actual dewatering resistance of the fibre pulp allowing for the viscosity of the filtrate.
