A device for filling tyres of different sizes contains a control device which can alternately connect the tyre to a compressed-air source and a contact manometer and contains a selection device by means of which the length of the filling period can be set in accordance with the volume of the tyre in order to be able to set the speed for filling to a maximum effectiveness for each size of tyre. The associated scales are marked for "tyre diameter" and "tyre width", as a result of which their combined tyre resistance is analogous to the tyre volume if the potentiometers of the selection device are set simply to correspond to the labels for "diameter" and "width" which are printed on the side of all tyres. <IMAGE>
