PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED assembly with a uniform emittance profile.SOLUTION: A filter layer 14 at least partially reflects light emitted from an LED chip 10 depending on the emission angle to the normal on the filter layer. The difference Δn in the refractive index between a light scattering layer 16 and a material of the filter layer adjacent to the light scattering layer satisfies Δn≥0.2; the difference in the refractive index Δn between the light scattering layer and a material of a layer 12 adjacent to the light scattering layer in the direction of the LED satisfies Δn≥0.2; and the product of the thickness D of the light scattering layer and the refractive index n of the light scattering layer satisfies 1900 nm≥n*D≥400 nm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
