PURPOSE:To obtain a sampling mechanism which is capable of performing quick inspection with high accuracy and controlling easily electrodes, by disposing sampling cups, bottles for various standard reagents, various vessels, and a sampling nozzle cleaner on one straight line. CONSTITUTION:The sampling cups 3, bottles 4-6 for various standard reagents, a sampling nozzle cleaner 7, an electrolytic cell vessel 8, and a dilution cell vessel 9 placed on a sample table 2 are arranged on one straight line. A slider 12 provided with a sampling nozzle 11 is moved along the straight line by a pulse motor 20, and the nozzle 11 is moved upward or downward by a holder 42 which is driven by a pulse motor 28. The liquid mixture of the reagent and diluent which is sampled and is stirred in the vessel 9 is fed to an electrode part where the concns. of Na and K ions are measured. The nozzle driving device is simplified by such rectilinear forward and backward movement as well as the upward and downward movement, whereby the reduction in size of the device and the proximity thereof are improved and the quick inspection with high accuracy is accomplished.
