PURPOSE:To remove safely and surely the clogging in a nozzle by heating inductively the molten or solidified metal in a nozzle of a vessel for molten metal. CONSTITUTION:The nozzle 2 in the bottom of a ladle 1 has an upper nozzle 2a and a lower nozzle 2b, and the sliding brick 3b of a opening/closing device 3 provided between the same moves horizotally with respect to a stationary brick 3a thereby opening and closing the nozzle 2. An induction coil 5 is provided at the circumference of the nozzle 2a and when AC current is conducted to said coil, the solidified steel in the nozzle 2a is inductively heated to melt. The clogging in the nozzle is thus safely and surely removed without contaminating the molten metal. |
