PURPOSE:To prevent the degradation in the gradation and to attain the recording of high picture quality, by attaining the recording of picture element with narrowered recording picture element less than the width of the picture element signal, in a picture recorder recording an intermediate tone picture. CONSTITUTION:A laser spot 18 is lighted for a pulse width 21 narrower than one picture element width 20 to a recording picture element 16. Thus, a black part 19 of the recording picture element by the optical beam is made narrower less than one picture element width 20, the protruded part is less and the gradation in recording the intermediate tone picture is improved remarkably. |
