PURPOSE:To provide a sintered substrate having high porosity, high mechanical strength, and uniform pore size by using foaming micro balloons. CONSTITUTION:Foaming organic high molecule micro balloons are mixed to slurry comprising sintering nickel powder and an organic binder to make a paste. The paste is applied on a core metal comprising a metal net or a punched metal plate, and they are dried to form the micro balloon, then, nickel powder is sintered as the binder and micro balloon are vaporized. Porosity and mean pore size are controlled by the adding amount of micro balloon and drying temperature of the slurry, and a uniform porous body can be obtained. Since the porous body is foamed in the drying process, its sintered strength is not decreased. |
