PURPOSE:To measure a temperature in contactless manner, by embedding an optical fiber in an insulator over a range from the sensor part provided to the leading end thereof to a measuring part provided to the trailing end thereof along with a metal wire generating thermoelectric power. CONSTITUTION:Metal wires 11, 12 each generating thermoelectric power and comprising iron and constantan, chrometal and alumel or platinum and a platinum alloy are welded at a part 23 and embedded in an insulator 2 comprising magnesium oxide. For example, an optical fiber 3 made of quartz is together provided in the insulator 2 over a range from the leading end thereof to the trailing end thereof. The sensor part 31 provided to the leading end of said fiber is exposed without coating the same with an outer shell metal. By this method, a temp. can be measured by light brightness prior to contacting with an object to be measured. |
