The metal plate (13) covers an aperture (20) in a second larger plate (17) which in turn covers a common hatch for through conduits in the hot water tank. The water pipes (27,28) extend through the second plate, and sealing components (22,19) are fitted partly between the two plates, and partly between the second plate and the hatch. A third plate (30) is fitted on top of the two other plates, and is pressed partly against the exterior of the first plate so that the latter is pressed against the second plate. Thus the sealing components (22) are pressed together between the plates, and partly against the edge (18) of the second plate, causing the seal (19) between the edge and that of the hatch to be pressed together. The third plate has apertures (33,36) for conduits and heating coils. |
