An elastic net (3) surrounds the filter (2). It stretches out when the filter is charged and retracts when the filter is discharged. It comprises a housing (1) in which the filter (2) is mounted with a surrounding elastic net (3). Dust laden air enters through pipe (4). Air is removed by the vacuum fan (6) and exhaust pipe (5). The major part of the dust leaves through the outlet (9). The action of the elastic net is to compress the dust to a denser volume and break apart the dust cake (11) which falls to the compressor (10).
