PURPOSE:To shorten an access time by dividing a storage area of a memory in an IC card into plural areas, varying an access method at every area, and executing selectively an access to a necessary area only. CONSTITUTION:A storage area of a programmable read-only memory 42 is brought to l division so that a CPU40 executes its operation in accordance with a program written in a read-only memory 41. Accordingly, when an IC card is set to an external device, and a data read instruction is inputted through a contact terminal 5, an area designating number given to an IC card from the external device is decided, and the selective read-out processing of a data of a necessary area is executed. |
