PURPOSE:To prevent fur by using a disinfectant for washing water in a washing process. CONSTITUTION:Fur is essentially composed of filamentous bacteria and suspended matters in water attached to them, and creosote and cresol are selected for use in a disinfectant to sterilize the bacteria. An X-ray photographic film F is developed by sliding between developing racks in a developing bath 1, and sent to a fixing bath 2, and then to a washing bath 3. A cresol soln. 11 is sucked into a feed pipe 7 from a receptacle 10 by the action of an ejector, and its flow rate is controlled with a needle valve 12. The cresol soln. 11 mixed with the feed water exerts sterilization effect to prevent fur. When a flowmeter 6 is arranged after the addition of the cresol soln. 11, occurrence or attachment of fur in the meter 6 is also prevented to facilitate confirmation of flow rate. |
