摘要 This is a process for coating the inner surface of rotationally symmetrical hollow bodies, in particular pipes, of a metallic base material with a wear-resistant material. In this process, heating of the coating material is effected by a heating medium introduced into the interior of the hollow body and by a temperature increase at a rate in the range from about 20 DEG C/second up to about 1000 DEG C/second, preferably about 50 DEG C/second. In a device for carrying out this process, the heating device is designed as an electrical resistance heater arrangement (6; 16) whose heating conductors (8; 12) are formed by electrically conductive wire material or strip material of graphite, which is applied to a bar or pipe (7; 11) in a single-ply or multi-ply or partial arrangement. <IMAGE>
