NEW MATERIAL:A piperazine derivative shown by the formula I (A is lower alkylene; Z is benzhydryl which may be replaced with halogen; R<1> is amino, aryl, pyridyl, acyl, or acylamino, and aryl and pyridyl are replaced with nitro, amino or acylamino, with the proviso that Z is benzhydryl replaced with halogen when R<1> is amino) and its salt. EXAMPLE:1-(4-Oxo-1-pentyl)-4-dibenzhydrylpiperazine fumarate. USE:Having antiallergic action, useful as a drug. PROCESS:For example, a compound shown by the formula II is reacted with a compound shown by the formula III (Y is eliminable group) in the presence of an organic or inorganic base such as trimethylamine, etc. in a solvent such as methanol, etc. at an elevated temperature or under heating, to give a compound shown by the formula I . |
